Mulan Jr.

Hi, it's me again and I wanted to talk about the school play Mulan. First off, great cast. Everybody was hilarious and looked like they were having a great time. I loved all of the costumes (Mushu's was my favorite). The effects were a fun thing to watch. All I have to say to you guys is GREAT JOB!

Chicken soup for the teenage soul

For the past few months I've been trying to find a new book to read. I found books but they weren't the best. But a few weeks ago one of my teachers talked about a book called "Chicken soup for the teenage soul." It sounded interesting so I checked it out today and so far it's been great! It got #1 on New York Times for its bestselling authors. Here's one of the poems.

My new best friend

Today I met a great new friend

Who knew me right away

It was funny how she understood

All I had to say

She listened to my problems

She listened to my dreams

We talked about love and life

She'd been there, too, it seems

I never once felt judged by her

She knew just how I felt

She seemed to just accept me

And all the problems I'd been dealt

She didn't interrupt me

Or need to have her say

She just listened very patiently

And didn't go away

I wanted her to understand

How much this meant to me

But as I went to hug her

Something startled me

I put my arms in front of me

And went to pull her nearer

And realized that my new best friend

Was nothing but a mirror

Polka dotted zebra

I bet you guys are wondering why I named my blog polka dotted zebra. Well, when I was a girl scout they told us about a zebra named Zink that all the other animals teased because he looked different. Zink tells us that it doesn't matter how you look on the outside, but what's on the outside. I think that's a great message. I think everyone should try that. Take the Zink challenge!
