Memorial day

I haven't really been posting about what's been going through mind my mind in a while so, I'd like to talk about an interesting subject.

As, you know today is Memorial Day. Me and my family went to go put flowers on our family members' graves when we saw two graves that stood out to us. One belonged to a boy that died at the age of four named Wesley, another belonged to a solider who died at twenty-five. When we passed by the boy's grave my mom began to cry. She thought it was so sad that someone so young died. I felt bad for him too so when my mom wasn't looking I grabbed one of our roses and put it on his grave, feeling warmth in my heart. Later on I told my parents and they gave me a big hug and told me they were proud of me.

Every year, we leave a rose on this solider's grave. When we saw it there were no other flowers on it. It was a bare grave. My dad felt bad about it so he cleaned it up and set some flowers on it. We stood by it silently for minute and began to leave. When they were farther ahead I took off my hat and saluted him. That was my way of saying thanks to him and this may sound crazy but, it felt like he was smiling at me up in heaven.

Wow, that was fast. In only a few days somebody solved my puzzle. Well, because they are so fun, I'll do another.

Monster Concert's in 2 days!

It's in 2 days. AHH! I'm soo excited but also very nervous. You see, this time I am on the top which is very scary because if somebody pushes you you fall right off. Let's not forget that my voice teacher might be coming to the concert and I'm beginning to freak out.

But, Moo says that it's the best concert of the year and to just have fun. So, I'll try!

GLee

Have you heard about the new show coming out called "GLEE." It looks really good! On Wed. my sister found a sneak peek of it and it was hilarious! It was the part when they saw the winner from last year's Glee club. They thought it wouldn't be that great but man were they wrong. The performance was great and the look of the characters' faces when it was over was priceless. It's going to come out right after the finale of American Idol so watch it, PLEASE! I know I will! Bye!

I LOVE THE OLDIES!

I love the oldies. I love oldies music, hairdos, and most of all, their style. The type of clothing around now is sleezy and innapropriate. The oldies clothes is covering and soo cute! I decided to look at some of their clothing and then compare it to the clothing of today and it is really different. I think it would be a great idea to make clothing designs based off of the clothing from the fifties. Well, it's just an a opinion. Tell me yours. I'm all open ears! Bye!

Mother's Day!

Today is a very special day, that is for my mom. As you know it is mother's day and mom's loving it! We all saw 17 Again together. It was really funny! As a gift I gave my mom a poem I found and I'd like to show it to all of you. My mom thought it was really deep and touching.

I hate swimsuits! :(

There are a few things that bug everyone every once in a while, one of mine are swimsuits. Why I dislike swimsuits is that you only look good in one when you're little or a supermodel, when you're a teenage girl, your only choices are bikinis or mom-suits. Well, I know this but I'm not the skinniest person which means I look horrible in a bikini and what teenage girl wants to wear a mom-suit. So, what do we do?

Well, my mom came up with a plan. Get a bikini, a designed Aeropostale tank top, and swimming shorts. Put on the bikini and wear the tank over the top and shorts over the bottom. Doing that can cover you enough so that you don't feel uncomfortable, and let's not forget, you also look good. So, follow my mom's tip and go swim!

It's HAIRSPRAY!

You know the play Hairspray. Well, our school's choirs are getting together to sing that song. Oh, I just loved that movie. Today we are learning the dance to the song. Well at one part me and a few other students come up and dance at the beginning and it goes by really fast. Well, it was our first time practicing with the CD and we had to walk down but when I did I accidentally lost my shoe and was freaking out trying to get in on on time. It was really embarassing but really funny, even to me. I can't wait for the concert. Everybody says it's the best concert of the year. Just a few more weeks. I can't wait!!

Art!

Today I'd like to talk about one of my favorite things, art! Art isn't just a hobby. It's the air we breathe, the sun and the moon, the gift of life, and all of nature's glory. It's an expression of how you feel. Art can be done in many ways, with camera or a pencil and a pen. When you do art you don't choose what you're going to draw, the paper does. I remember a month ago I was thinking of drawing one of my girls during free-time in class when I saw the lightest shape of a duck beak on the paper so, I drew a duck. When I showed it to my friend she thought it was cool and thought that I'd drawn it many times before. It was a cool feeling and a fun thing to look out for.

Here are a few pictures I did a while ago. One of them is one of my girls that I drew last year, the other is a collage that I did about three years ago. TULIPs!

Ok, yesterday was amazing. My friend Janelle took me to the tulip show! It was soo beautiful. I saw kinds of tulips you do'nt even see in your dreams. There were two that stood out for me. One looked like it was made of red velvet, with a maroon center and the outline was a thin white line. The other one looked like fire. The center started as a yellow that faded into a orange and then faded into a red as it got closer to the top. There were some that we called "sneezing tulips" because they were opened like they were about to sneeze.

From that trip I got a few art ideas, and a bad sunburn, but I also learned that nature is a beautiful thing and holds many beauties beyond our imagination. For an example, I found this picture of land entirely covered in tulips. Yeah, all that color in that feild was made by tulips. It's truly amazing.
